Sympathetic Memories | 少女こんくうる [DEMO]

This is the first act of the forthcoming visual novel series Sympathetic Memories | 少女こんくうる (formerly Le Concours des Filles), which you can play now for free!

It's the story of an elderly woman, Ohatsu, and the two mysterious visitors who join her to share in a sympathetic memory, the means by which psychic women and girls maintain their collective knowledge, since they lead such brief lives. Over the course of this series, you will see Ohatsu grow from what appears to be a teenage girl into a young woman, alongside other young women, called filles, against and with whom she will have to struggle.

The game focuses on a form of narrative combat specifically designed for this series but is based on skill checks in games like Fallout and Baldur's Gate 3. Not all "combat" is about fighting, though, so you will need to decide whether the best course of action is for Ohatsu to engage, empathize, or hold back, represented by specific in game skills.

As you relive Ohatsu's memories, you will influence how the events of her life will be interpreted and therefore remembered by others of her like.

[CONTENT WARNING] The game includes depictions of violence, physical and mental abuse, murder, and death. Ohatsu's life is, in many ways, a tragic one, but there is light along with darkness. That's the point. All the shades of a human life and a person's emotional struggles.
